Crunchy, funky, slushy, gritty...
Once was white is now a mess,
Gray spattered days, prolonged, a pity.
Muddled senses, longing for color on natures dress.
Remembrances of unfazed glory
Keeping my secret dream garden tended and growing,
Until spring time drowns all that is boring.

can't wait til all those flowers come out! Our snow is melted... for now. But I'm sure we'll have more!
Winter seems to be retreating.
Oh I am so SICK of dreary gray icy yucky winter! Spring takes so long to arrive doesn't it? I'm dreaming of gardening and flowers too!
Snow, snow, go away - come back another day!!!! :-)
Happy WW!
LOL -- it does always reach a point, doesn't it, where it's no longer pretty . . . both literally and figuratively.
Hopefully not too much longer!
One of my pet peeves about snow is when it gets so dirty.
I suppose the slush is a promise of spring to come. How punctuated your seasons are. Ours fluctuate from day to day, never know for certain what's around the corner except for change.
Can't wait until spring!
We have that nasty dirsty salty slush here too, gives me hope that spring is near!
The garden is beautiful, I hope it gets warm soon. We're looking at a possiblity of snow next week
The garden is beautiful! That snowy mess will disappear in no time.
I can't wait for summer!!!!!!
Here's hoping that you have seen the last of the snow days!
I hate dirty snow. Bleh. Can't wait for Spring.
Heya!!
i know it's sounded irony to u but it's been along time since i saw real snow!
can't wait to see ur garden in spring again!!!
Happy WW!!!
That's the problem with snow - starts out pretty, ends up yucky.
Bring on spring! :)
It'll be green soon and your lovely garden will be rediscovered again.
Our snow is finally melting!! Now we have a house full of muddy footprints :YAY:
Here's to an early spring. lol.
The last two pictures are beautiful! Snow is so pretty when it first falls and its so bright white! Then it gets dirty and becomes ice-mud...
Spring here we come!
LOVE this - i don't ahve snow but I feel the same way!

LOVE the last pic the most. hehehe looking forward to beautiful colours ;)
I have to show these pics to my son. He has this romanticized view of snow, that it's all pristine white and soft and fluffy. :)
Happy WW!
Hope the snow will go away soon.
I'll take the latter! Goodness that looks cold.
Your garden is STUNNING!
Horrid snow meaning your garden isn't as beautiful as in spring ;)
ack I hate that black snow. if only it were so easy as a photo to find spring
The garden is stunningly beautiful. hope spring will come soon.
Since we live in Southern California, you would think we'd have a gorgeous garden year round. But alas, my human has the blackest of black thumbs, so it's less than artistic out my window!
I just want the snow to melt enough that I can deep clean my Alpaca barn. It's killing me to know that there is tons of poo out there to scoop but too frozen for me to get to it.
My neighbor has a huge garden and he is eager for me to get the job done too. He uses my Alpaca poo to fertilize his gardens.
Looking forward to Spring, too! LOVE that last capture.
We have been so lucky this year but I totally understand how you feel. The gray mess needs to go!
We'll make it through the messy stuff in order to get to the beautiful!
I think the cold, dreary winter just makes me appreciate the lovely spring/summer/fall months. Of course, it is supposed to be near 70 in Atlanta this weekend so I really can't complain! Have a lovely day!
what a beautiful garden! Can't wait till Spring :)
What a lovely flower garden. Spring is just around the corner! :)
Your flowers looks lovely! The promise of Spring will be here before you know it!
Gorgeous garden! Something beautiful to look forward to!
I am impressed. Great poem Grammy. Can't wait for spring!
Ahhhh. . . .beautiful garden!! And the snow mes??? It'll soon be gone! When we lived in Maine years ago, we used to still have dirty snow drifts on the side of the driveway until May 1st!!
EWWWW I've seen enough snow to last me a long time! But I do LOVE the garden pictures!
Not a fan of the white mess but love the spring photos LOL
The gardens are beautiful! I can't wait to see grass and flowers again.
Great photos, and cute poem! We don't get snow here, but I am soooo ready for winter to be done!
Happy WW!
I'm with you! Soooo ready for Spring to come!
Kas
Once again thanks for the linky.
That was just lovely! Is that what you call a haiku? Not sure.
I always love visiting your WW!
Thank you... I use Photoshop Elements8. Thanks for stopping by!
Ah, dirty snow. Seen so much of that in my life. I much prefer your gorgeous pictures of Mother Nature's spring and summer decorations brightening our days!
I thought we were on our way to the dream garden (though, the garden will still just be a dream for me!), as we've had a few weeks of gorgeous weather. Now, we're having storms and have snow forecasted everyday for the next week. Ick!
we have no snow, but am still longing for spring
Winter is in retreat, but has yet a counterattack or two left to 'spring' afore 'spring'. Be ready. My Corps de Shovel stands ready to do battle.
As for those scammer emails...I've wasted 11 years playin' widdem now. Saved me from having to get a life ;-)
Beautiful garden!! I am so sick of the dirty snow too!!
It was so nice here today that I have to be happy that this ugly snow and ice will be gone soon!
Poetry with words and pics! Just lovely! Thanks for taking us on the journey!
Your poetic soul is showing.
That's the perfect poem to go with your very graphic images of the yucky side of winter into lovely spring!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. I am following yours now. Have a great day!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. It was so exciting to get some comments on my new blog!
Oh how I yearn for Spring and flowers and nicer weather!!! LOVE your garden picture!!!!
Hi... Love Your Spring Pictures
We are having unusually warm weather here in SC. It has been in the 70's. It just doesn't feel right. Faythe, I know you are tired of the snow. So I'm sending some of our warm sunshine your way!
We just got a bunch of snow and rain that we have been waiting a month and 1/2 to arrive. Not so bad to see after worrying about a drought all this time. I think I have said it before, but your garden is certainly beautiful!
No snow in my place, but it's very cold..you have a lovely garden.
Snow soon will be over..
