Green Bay Packer fans have the fever!

  Super Bowl fever!

Titletown, USA has added number lucky 13 to it's title victories, thanks to Aaron Rodgers leading the Packers to a romp stomping championship game last Sunday!

That fever is bubbling over all over Wisconsin and to all Green Bay Packer fans across the world. Stores are having trouble keeping the Packer Champs gear on the shelves! Most are lucky to get it out of the boxes!
Donald Driver's mother was even seen at Lambeau Field shopping at the Packer Pro Shop. She has every reason to be proud. The Packers came together in a great team effort to climb back to the top and bring the Lombardi trophy home!

my lovely D.I.L. getting her Cheesehead on!

It started early Monday as fans lined up by the airport and along the route the Packer players would be traveling back home to Lambeau Field.

Fans love their Packers! Green Bay appreciates it's fans and team. So what better way to keep the fever going? How about a special celebration at Lambeau Field on Tuesday? Return to Titletown! Monday morning tickets went on sale for 56,000 tickets at $5 each to come to the stadium and have a party! By Monday afternoon the tickets were sold out. Fans went to the off-ticket outlet sites to find any... some were seen advertised on craigslist for as much as $150! And one package was found for a set of 4 for the low price of $500! Yikes! Way out of my price range.

It is a frenzy, a fever that even with the 7 degree temperatures with wind chills expected as low as -7 degrees could not freeze a true Packer fan out!
For some reason the frigid WI winters always seem to be a bit shorter when the Packers are in the Super Bowl and seem almost tropical when they Win the Super Bowl! The frosty temps and snow can make a person crazy, so thank heavens we have the distraction this year of a super charged season!

As with any other regular game going on in Green Bay, if there is snow lots of volunteers show up to help clean up the mess before the game. Small town pride and loyalty, plus the fact that Green Bay is owned by its fans, brings out that good neighbor feeling.
At Tuesday's Return to Titletown celebration Aaron Rodgers came up the microphone and simple said "What's up Titletown?" bringing roars from the crowd. I also heard he said that Green Bay should expect a trophy again next season! Yea Haa!

I received a late night call myself from my son out in San Diego, he and my D.i.l. (seen above) hosted their own Super Bowl party. He was over come with happiness, and actually called us twice thinking he was calling his uncle to celebrate... good thing he was at home, and would not be driving... he was certainty feeling no pain ☺ !
my silly Cheesehead, must of ran out of beer to go with his cheese and continued with tequila!

I have a feeling he has a big head to go along with his Packer fever today ☺!

I hope I have not bored you with all my Packer stories lately. But it sure did make winter a little more bearable for me and hubby! The deep freeze is still lingering in my part of Packerland. The extra blankets and flannel PJs and socks are still in much demand. I am now looking forward to spring!
How about you? Any other football fans out there? Will you buy any special paraphernalia? I will most likely get a shirt, but hopefully it will be on sale by the time I can find one! I hate paying retail ☺ !

  10. I have finally found a reason to become a superboawl football fan. We had glorious 78 degree weather Sunday so we took our huskie to the beach and amazingly we found parking right away and shared the shoreline with just a few folks who had ventured away from their televisions sets. Now that's worth cheering about I have a totally new appreciation for sports:) I get it though I've lived in snowy winters where there is nothing much to do out of doors. The spectators are very courageous to go out and brave the snow and icy bleachers.
Meanwhile your dormant plants are storing up energy for their spring emergence. I'm sure there are as eager as you for the snow to melt and the sun to shine.

Way to go Packers. They represented your state and city well and deserve the accolades.

  33. I just knew there would be a party going on over here! Glad I didn't miss it! Congrats!

  34. I accompanied my hubster to Dallas that weekend but we did not go to the game. He's a USA football fan but even he would not pay those ticket prices. We went to a party at my cousin's and saw it on this huge plasma TV screen!! It was a good game, anyway. I was cheering for the packers mainly because of Lombardi.

  35. This reminds me of a buddy who would always talk about the big "cheesehead" and I never got it, and later realized everyone in the world knew but me.

Notice I'm not talking sports, because I just don't get that stuff. So you're a sports reporter to me lol, as "not so" sports reporter as you think you are.
