26 Golds and purples

Remember my spooky tree?
(this link takes you to the beginning of the tale of how this tree became named the "spooky tree" for more posts see the right side bar under categories/tags spooky tree)

It is still upright and has a new crop of vines growing on it this year, all changing colors and getting ready to come falling down (more of a pictorial story later).

Enjoying the last few days ( I sadly fear) of Indian summer I was able to catch this shot standing beneath old spooky....

please ask for written permission for a copy, thanks

Many of the leaves of gold, red, purple and all of autumns hues are all but fallen in the winds of fall. Raked and blown into piles, crushed and burned by handy hubby, who then comes inside smelling of smoked sausage after a hard day of yard work.

Are there any of the beautiful colors of golds,
reds and purples in your area?
Tell me what part of the world your season is changing into,
  autumn or spring eye candy.

  Until next time ...

Beautiful golds go so well with the purple. It's begun raining here but the temperature is balmy and so of the nicest weather we have had in months as the entire summer was cold and foggy.

I'm in Bombay, India which doesn't have much greenery .. and the weather is SO HOT right now (we've just finished with the monsoons - 3 months of mad rain!)

I do have some huge trees in my building compound - but they are just green .. no fun colours for me :(

Would love to see the colours of Autumn in my country.

We are on a tropical island where it's sunny all year round. it's the rainy season now and it's been wet and cold for days.

I love fall. The leaves are just starting to turn here in Ohio, but today it is raining, and that's always bad news for the colorful leaves.

Your tree is beautiful! We are starting to see some yellow, orange and red leaves around here. I love it!

We don't get much of an autumn in the central valley of California, but autumn it is. Lovely colors in your neck of the woods.

Have a terrific WW. :)

It looks like a giant tree man with arms!

That tree looks as if it's ready to run away!

All the leaves still haven't changed here yet. After about 5 days of great weather, we're into rain now for the next few days, so a lot of the leaves may end up off the trees.

I love your tree pics. I so miss autumn when I visit your pages but in a good way, like a sweet memory :-)

Cool tree! I think our autumn leaves peak was yesterday, before the rain started again, now they'll be coming off the trees and be gone before we know it :(

That's fun to watch when there are birds in it.

It's amazing the way all those vines have grown up there the way they have.
