Fresh coats of color and building a new spring home

Signs of spring keep showing up,
even though our temperatures have dropped down into the colder 'normal' ranges.

I have no fear that spring is on its way,
as you can see the signs below...

  2. You know, I haven't seen any goldfinches yet this spring! So weird! We have a fat pair of Robin's nesting in our carport though!

My daffodils are blooming and surprisingly, my clematis already has a ton of new growth! It usually doesn't start greening up until late may!

  6. We end up with a nest under our deck every year but it's from a finch (i think).

  7. I saw a big robin gathering stuff for his nest a few days back. Flowers are about 3 weeks early around here.

  11. Great spring pictures. Love seeing the birds hopping around in our yard after the winter is over. We have a nest in our wreath on our front porch that has had eggs/baby robins in it for the last few years. Hoping to see eggs soon. It was empty last I checked.

  13. What lovely little nests! We have blackbirds and bluetits nesting in the hedge, and a pair of partridges in the middle of a flower bed. Yesterday two rooks were busy building a nest on top of a neighbours chimney pot!

  14. Spring has definitely sprung down here in Texas. We've already gone through the azaleas, redbuds, dogwoods and bluebonnets.

  20. These are wonderful photos. I'm surprised you've had cold snaps. It's been unseasonably hot in the south.

Yes I know what you mean, for instance right here in my garden there are so many wild birds of all colours and descriptions, there was even a heron visiting last week so how about that for wicked? :)

I put out plenty of foodstuffs for them and even the grey squirrels call by for a feast, well they don't like to miss out on all the goodies :)

I like this posting Faythe :)
