We are so happy to be visiting you and not resting
on a big plate on your table!
I thought this quote appropriate, especially since we just
honored the 50 anniversary of John F. Kennedy's death
This Thanksgiving Day, let's remember what we truly
have to be thankful for. Let's take a good, hard look around us and
realize that while we may not have everything we want, what we want is
not always what we need.

Wishing all my friends, family and readers a blessed and wonderful Thanksgiving. I so appreciate all your support, readership and your comments.
Autumn is still officially here, but yesterday we saw our first snowfall of the season... Booo! Since I was so depressed over the pretty falling flakes that stuck to the ground, I sure did not feel like snapping any photos. I decided to share some earlier blazing glory (and subsequent messes) of autumn.
some of the first of falls colors (maple trees) please feel free to click on any photos to enlarge, but please ask if you would like to share or have a better copy, thank you
one of the many ugly dark stormy skies we have had this autumn
it does make the colorful leaves stand out, though
my infamous 'spooky tree' ( to read the story behind the spooky tree just click on the words) covered an many colors of wild grapevine (red), hops (just turning from green to yellow and brown, clematis (almost dried up)
and still very green trumpet vine, all in front of large golden maples
the nasty brown mess of the many trees, mostly maple leaves, littering the ground behind (in the heavy trees where we tend to blow them if the wind doesn't do the job for us) some very hungry gold finches now in their drab winter colors
the start of yucky brown leaves and pine needles covering our steep driveway waiting for someone to clean them up. any takers??
This concludes this weeks autumn blaze and fall to a dying dried mess before being covered in snow, thus making clean up even messier, sighhhh.
Have you had any snow flakes or fallen
stuck to a mess yet this season?
